Allicorn's Outfit Reporter
Using the JRE-less Installer
The Outfit Reporter is written in Java and, like all other Java programs, requires that you
have a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed on your computer before it can work. The first two
installs on the main reporter page both carry a built in JRE, thats why they're over 10Mb in size and why
you shouldn't need to do anything else other than download and run them in order for them to work. If,
however, you can't get them working, you still have a couple options. First and easiest of which is this
installer.
Step one is to get yourself a JRE. You can get the latest Sun JRE from Java.Com.
Just go there, click the Get It Now link, follow the instructions and get the latest JRE for your computer
downloaded and installed. (If you already had an old JRE, it might be a good idea to uninstall it first if you
don't specifically need it for something)
Step two is just to download the JRE-less version of the Outfit Reporter from the previous page and
run it.
If you've had problems with the recommended installs, hopefully this might help.
If it still doesn't work after this you should really think about running some system diagnostics. If that
doesn't help, there's still one more way of installing it that I can provide you, and thats the rather dirty
and more complicated manual install which is the last thing on the list.
